Using special paper-folding techniques, coloured tissue paper can be transformed into beautiful & magical window stars, suitable for any season. This book uses tissue paper, but most of the designs can be succesfully created using kite paper. This book contains step-by-step instructions for making 25 window stars. Each design is graded for difficulty, to allow the beginner to progress easily and confidently.

Using tissue paper, Frédérique Guéret also shows how the stars can be painted with additional colour accents which, when the light shines through in a certain way, create a dazzling veined effect. The author was born in France in 1949 and after completing her art training, developed her own method of paper-folding with tissue paper and first published her window transparencies in 1999.
